Hollywood can get even more competitive when it comes to male actors. Most of the movies center the male character so the best choice has to be made when it comes to cast a male lead. There are plenty of male actors who got cast in a high budget movie which turned out to be successful, but next, they disappeared as if they were never there.
They are handsome and have a great personality but still cannot find fame, that’s Hollywood for you! It is something more than handsomeness which carries one to the peak, maybe luck and hard work it is, because there are some pretty unattractive actors who are garnering more fame than there handsome colleagues. Here are ten of the Hollywood actors who are very handsome but could not get very famous.
10- Johnny Messner
This 47 year old has lived in Europe for 13 years as his father served the US Air Force. During this time, he developed an interest in sports while playing on teams at the military bases. Probably that’s where he got his built and enduring personality. He has two other siblings.
As an actor, he is best known for his work in the movies such as The Whole Ten Yard, Tears of the Sun and Hostage. He also has had roles on the TV series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Cold Case. He met his partner Kathryn Morris on the set of Cold Case and had twin boys with her in 2013.

9- Brandon Routh
Brandon Routh is a former fashion model who grew up in Iowa before moving to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. He modeled to pay his tuition fee at The University of Iowa and was aspired to become a writer at that time. He appeared in subsequent television series through the 2000s. His greater recognition came in 2006 when he starred as a titular superhero in Superman Returns.
Routh was always told that he held a physical resemblance with Christopher Reeve, the previous Superman, and that was the reason he was signed for the film further adding that if there comes another movie for the series, he shall be cast again. Fingers Crossed.
He also has had recurring roles in series such as Arrow, Chuck and The Flash and supporting roles in movies such as Scott Pilgrim Vs the World and Legends of Tomorrow. He married his longtime actress girlfriend Courtney Ford in 2007 and had a son in 2012.

8- Cam Gigandet
Cam Gigandet is an actor with a familiar face but not very famous though. One might remember him from the Twilight series, Pandorum, Never Back Down, Burlesque, Easy A, The Roommate and Priest. The problem with all these roles were that they were not the main ones even though they were good ones.
He also starred in the short lived drama series Reckless. Gigandet has two daughters and a son with his fiancee Dominique Geisendorff. Impressively, he has a black belt in Krav Maga.
7- Charlie David
Also known as Charles David Lubiniecki, Charlie David is a 36 year old Canadian actor, writer, director and a producer. He is best known for the male lead in the LGBT horror series Dante’s Cove and has also worked as a television host on various shows such a F.Y.E!, Spy TV, Bump! And Crash Test Mommy.
He is the co-owner of Border2Border Entertainment alongside Derek James and Linda Carter. The Out Magazine honored David as one of the ‘Out 100’ for a remarkable contributions to Gay Culture in 2005.

6- Thierry Neuvic
The 46 year old French actor has starred in more than fifty films and television shows since 1996 and still very less are familiar with his name. His movie Code Unknown was selected in the 2000 Cannes Film Festival.
He has been in a relationship with the pop singer Jennifer whom he met on the set of Lea Francis. Both had their son in 2014 while Jennifer has already have a child. Thierry is a talented actor and a lesser known too.
5- Matt Bomer
Most of the people might be very familiar with Matt Bomer but the reason he is on this list is that because he is not much famous as he needs to be. An American actor who made his television debut in 2001 with Guiding Light. He was noticed by his role on NBC television series Chuck. He also played a lead role of con-artist and thief in the USA Network series White Collar which aired from 2009 to 2014.
Bomer played a supporting role opposite Mark Ruffalo in the HBO television film The Normal Heart in 2014 for which he also won a Golden Globe Award and received a PrimeTime Emmy Award nomination. He made a guest appearance on the fourth season of FX’s horror anthology series American Horror Story for which he was upgraded to the main cast for the fifth season.
His other supporting roles include in the movies like; Flight Plan, In Time, Magic Mike and its sequel, Winter’s Tale and the neo-noir movie The Nice Guys. Too many of the supporting roles for such a versatile actor!
4- Johann Urb
Johann Urb is an Estonian born American actor, producer who also happened to be a model in his early days. In 2001, he got a small part in the movie Zoolander and later made an appearance in the short film Fear of Feathers. He also had a role in one episode of CSI:Miami.
Urb also appeared in the short running TV series The Mountain and guest starred in several other shows following that for instance his recent role as a US Park Ranger in the series NCIS. He ha also played the part of Leon S.Kennedy in Resident Evil: Retribution released in 2012. His filmography is not as good looking as he is.

3- Scott Adkins
Scott Adkins is an English actor and a martial artist. He is best known for playing the Russian prison fighter Yuri Boyka in the 2006 movie Undisputed II: Last Man Standing and its sequels. He is also known for his side roles in Holby City, Doctor Strange, The Bourne Ultimatum and Zero Dark Thirty, East enders, Hollyoaks, Doctors and other direct to video films.
His first breakthrough came by a Hong Kong based martial arts film where Adkins found himself working alongside some leading action directors including Corey Yuen and the legendary Jackie Chan. This strong looking young man is not still as famous as he needs to be.
2- Daniel Cudmore
Daniel Cudmore is a Canadian actor and a stuntman. He is another one who has more notable side roles than lead roles. He played mutant Colossus in the X-Men franchise and Volturi Felix in the Twilight Saga. The role he played in the second installment of the X-Men in 2003 is known as his first major role which he also reprised in X-Men Days of Future Past alongside his Twilight colleague Booboo Stewart.
He also auditioned for the role of Superman Returns but lost it to Brandon Routh, the number nine on this list! It was revealed that Cudmore will appear as Colossus in the 2015 movie Deadpool, but when he was informed that his voice will be dubbed by another actor, he declined the role.
1- David Chokachi
David Chokachi is an American Movie and television actor. He graduated from the Bates College in Lewiston with a political science degree. His father is an Iraqi Turk and his mother is a Finish. This mixture of blood and genes enabled him to grow into a handsome man he is.
Chokachi was named one of the “50 Most Beautiful People in the World” in 1997 by the People’s Magazine. He is best known for his roles in three television series; Baywatch, Witchblade and Beyond The Break. He got married in 2004 and has one child. He is 49 years old.
All the aforementioned actors might be familiar face wise, but not name wise. That’s what the list has been about.
